DAY 1: Arrive Madrid

Arrive at Madrid Airport, where you meet your Tour Manager and proceed to your hotel for check-in (after 14:00 p.m.) for a two-nights stay. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Spain's capital or join the additional excursion - Visit Santiago Bernabéu, the home ground of Real Madrid Football Club. This excursion is not possible during event days.

DAY 2: Madrid

This morning you meet your local guide and proceed on a panoramic tour of Madrid: find the medieval origins of the city like the Arabic fortress, at the Barrio de la Moreria; drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs characterised by Renaissance and Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de la Ville and the district of Salamanca; see the Madrid of the Bourbons: Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains. You also visit the Royal Palace and stately rooms formerly inhabited by Spanish Kings. After the visit you proceed to the Gran Via to enjoy the sights and sounds of Madrid.

DAY 3: Madrid - Trujillo - Lisbon

After breakfast, we drive west towards the region of Extremadura, a relaxing drive to Trujillo, hometown to many discoverers of the new world. Here you have free time to explore the beautiful and monumental Plaza Mayor. Continue through Portuguese soil along the Alentejo plains via historic sites such as Elvas, Estremoz and Setubal. Arrive over the impressive bridge 25th April in Lisbon, capital of Portugal. On arrival check-in at your hotel for a two-nights stay.

DAY 4: Lisbon

After breakfast, meet your local guide for a tour of the fascinating city of Lisbon. Drive through the main squares and avenues; see Belem Tower, Coach Museum, Marquis of Pombal Square and Liberty Avenue. You will also see Vasco da Gama's Tomb inside the Jeronimos Monastery. Later visit the Monument to the Discoverers, the suspension bridge across the River Tagus and the Hare Krishna Temple. Late evening return to your hotel.

DAY 5: Lisbon - Caceres - Seville

Today you depart for Caceres, considered a World Heritage site because of the city's blend of Roman, Islamic, Northern Gothic and Italian Renaissance architecture. Here you have some free time to walk through Plaza Mayor and the Old Town with its famous Medieval Quarter. Later, continue the drive to Seville where you check-in at your hotel for a two-nights stay.

DAY 6: Seville

This morning we meet our expert local guide who will show us the main sights. We will see the Alcázar of Seville – the amazing fortress is a maze of royal palaces, patios and gardens; the Seville Cathedral, a striking Gothic church which is the third largest church in Europe; and La Giralda, the only remaining structure of the 12th-century mosque torn down during the construction of the Seville Cathedral. Inside the Cathedral, you can see the tomb of Christopher Columbus. Later drive through the Santa Cruz Quarter, a natural scenario of 'Carmen' and where the myth of 'Don Juan' developed; see the Parque de María Luisa, and Plaza de España. The evening is at leisure.

DAY 7: Seville - Cordoba

This morning, you begin the drive to Cordoba, once the capital of the Caliphate. On arrival, proceed on a tour of the Mosque of Cordoba, or Mezquita-Catedral (Mosque Cathedral) which is a World Heritage Site known for its stunning architecture. It is the world’s third largest mosque, although today it is used as a Roman Catholic church. Later see the Roman Bridge (Puente Romano), what was Cordoba’s only bridge for 20 centuries, and stroll through the narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter. Later check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 8: Cordoba - Granada

Today after breakfast, you drive through the heart of Andalucia, to Granada, the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms upto 1492. On arrival, visit the world famous Alhambra (Red Palace) and the Generalife Gardens with fountains, gardens and patios, which have inspired many authors with its sights and sounds. Later check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 9: Granada - Valencia

This morning, begin your drive towards the Mediterranean coast. En-route you pass Murcia, a city of Arab origin whose existence is closely linked to the fertile lands around the river Segura. Continue north via Alicante to Valencia, the capital of the autonomous community of Valencia and the third largest city in Spain after Madrid and Barcelona. Few cities like Valencia, are able to harmoniously combine the remnants of its farthest past, dating to the year 138 BC, with the most innovative and avant-garde buildings from the new millennium. Later check-in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 10: Valencia - Barcelona

After breakfast, proceed on a tour of Valencia which includes a drive through the city to see the Town Hall, the Bull Ring, the massive Gateway Towers of Serranos and Quart and the La Seo Cathedral, which houses numerous religious and artistic treasures. Later you drive past the old riverbed of the Turia to the most avant-garde complex "Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias", a unique complex devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination, to see the exteriors of the five main elements: the Hemisfèric, the Umbracle, the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum, the Oceanográfico and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía. Early afternoon you depart northwards along the Mediterranean coast to Catalunya. On arrival in Barcelona you check-in at your hotel for a two-nights stay.

DAY 11: Barcelona

This morning, meet your local guide for a morning panoramic tour of Barcelona, a remarkable and vibrant city. Begin the tour with a visit to Park Guell with its amazing stone structures, stunning tiling and fascinating buildings. Later view the magnificence of Gaudi's controversial Sagrada Familia (from outside) and the Plaza de Cataluna. Drive to the Montjuic to see Barcelona's Olympic Stadium (from outside), and panoramic views of the port and city below. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the famous thoroughfare of La Rambla, a busy street of sights, colours and people. The central part of La Rambla is pedestrianised, bordered by trees, kiosks and flower stalls, cafes, restaurants and shops, and street artists are in abundance here. You can walk towards the waterfront to view the Mirador de Colom, the ornate 1888 Corinthian column topped with a statue of Christopher Columbus.

DAY 12: Barcelona - Return flight home

This morning, you are transferred to the airport for your flight back home. The tour ends, and it is time to say farewell to all the friends you have made on tour. (Breakfast)
