DAY  01 :  Pickups from Airport  /  Thalawella / Madu Church / Night stay
                     
Travel from Colombo Airport to Thalawila St.Anne Church . Spend few hours and have lunch and stay night at  Shrine of our lady  of Mudu.
                     
“ The Thalawila church has a long history and once account says that a European Trader travelling in a ship dedicated to St. Anne, was shipwrecked  off the coast of Thalawila in the 18th century and found the church following success in business after placing a vow at this place. The other account says that in the 17th century a Portuguese man travelling from Mannar to Colombo slept at a tree in Thalawila and dreamt seeing St. Anne’s statue at the foot of tree, and when he awoke from the dream the statue was physically there as he dreamt ”

Madu Church

“Invasion of the Dutch in 1670 led 20 Catholic families to flee from Mantai, along with the statue of Mary in that church to a safer locale in Madhu. During that time around 700 Catholics from Jaffna peninsula migrated to Wanni forests. These two communities met in Madhu, and built a new Shrine to install the statue. This is how the Madhu shrine came into existence.
Revival of Catholic faith by missionaries such as Blessed Joseph Vaz, Oratorian priests expanded the small shrine in the late 17th Century. The number of Catholics in 1796 remained small. With such a small community the Shrine at Madhu started to attract pilgrims from all over the country. In 1834 the building of the new church was initiated by Bishop C. Bonjean and his successors built a facade, the spacious presbytery, restful chapel of the Blessed Sacrament and the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes.

Day 2 : Mass at Madu Church

After the breakfast travel to Mannar spend time at Mannar and travel to Trincomalee. Night stay at Trincomalee

 “ Trincomalee, one of the largest deep water harbours in the world, is located on the north-east part of Sri Lanka. Trincomalee has served Sri Lanka as an important seaport since the times of ancient days. On the Swami Rock stands one of the oldest Hindu temples in Sri Lanka. In Second World War, Trinco was the headquarters of Allied South-East Asia Command. “


Day 3 : Pigeon Island

Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe / Travel to Pigeon Island /    Swimming / Boat riding  / Fresh sea food self cooking /Bath at Hot springs Visit Fort  Fredrick / deer park City tour /  Night Stay

Pigeon Island

“Pigeon Island is located around 1 km away from the Nilaveli beach. This is consists of two islands, one is small and other one is larger in size. This is one of the best places to see corals.

This island got it's name because of the Rock Pigeons live over there. In year 2003 Pigeon island was designated as a nation park in Sri Lanka. earlier it was a sanctuary. This island was used by British army as a place for shooting practice in early world war time.
   

Hot Springs of Kanniya

On the way to Trincomalee is the small town of Kanniya where lie seven hot springs. All these springs are within a rectangular enclosure of high walls. The springs are seperated from one another by dwarf walls.
     
       
Days 4 : After the Breakfast proceed to Kandy via Habarana / Dumbula

Visit to Kandy National seminary,Botanical garden ,Sri Dalada Maligawa / lake boating,pinnawala elephant orphanage ,Travel to Colombo and night stay at Colombo
 
Kandy is a city in the center of Sri Lanka. It was the last capital of the ancient kings' era of Sri Lanka.[1] The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is one of the most scenic cities in Sri Lanka; it is both an administrative and religious city. It is the capital of the Central Province (which encompasses the districts of Kandy, Matale and Nuwara Eliya) and also of Kandy District. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most venerable places for the Buddhist community of Sri Lanka and all around the world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988.
